- Why are you doing this?
-
"pcapr, where pcaps come alive", remember?
- Why can't I see the other datasets?

Are you logged in?
- Can I page through the search results?
-
Not currently. If it's a TCP/UDP packet, you can click on the
icon next to it to narrow your search.
- How do I select specific packets?
-
Use an expression like this: pkt.id:(10 OR 30 OR 22).
- Can I negate a query term?
-
Use bang in front of the term like this: pkt.service:!arp.
A query with just a negated term won't return any hits.
- What are notes?
-
Notes are little snippets of information attached to either
specific packets or to search queries. Any note you make is
immediately shared with the rest of the community.
- Why can't I make a note from my search?
-
It's likely that there might be another note with exactly the
same search query.
- How do I cross-reference packets in notes?
-
If you are making a note on a packet, use a hash tag #
followed by a packet number. For example "this note references #12345".
- This is cool, but I want more!
-

and how we can make this better.
Use the slider below to jump to a specific packet. Clicking on
a highlighted term (mouse over) of any packet will automatically
add the term to the search box.

The index is a list of fields and their corresponding terms.
Within each field, you can quickly jump to specific terms using the prefix search.
The number of matching packets for each term is displayed as
a superscript next to the term.
Notes are simple one-line annotations attached to specific packets
or search queries.
